Pritam Lama, Gyalshing, 28 Dec: The 36th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal [SSB] organized a football tournament at Kyongsa Ground, Gyalshing, for the youth of villages along the Indo-Nepal border. The event was conducted under the supervision of Ajeet Mohan, Commandant, 36th Battalion, SSB, Gyalshing.
The tournament’s final match witnessed an exciting clash between Young Boys Football Academy and Tikjek Football Club. In a closely contested game, Young Boys Football Academy emerged victorious, securing the trophy with a 2-1 scoreline.
To encourage the participants and foster a spirit of sportsmanship, Shri Ajeet Mohan presented football kits to all players and awarded trophies to the winners. He also delivered a motivational address, emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting unity and discipline among the youth.
This initiative is part of SSB’s ongoing efforts to engage with the border communities and promote their overall development.
