The league round of the Late Vinod Pradhan Memorial T20 Trophy 2025 ended on Tuesday at Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo, with Cricket Association of Tathangchen [CAT] and Yuksom Capitals registering victories.
In the first match of the day, CAT beat Royal North Brothers by 63 runs. Winning the toss, CAT opted to bat first and scored 145 for 6 in 20 overs. In response, Royal North Brothers were bowled out for 82 in 19.3 overs. Bhim Luitel of CAT was adjudged the player of the match.
In the second match, Black Eagle Sikkim Armed Police went down to Yuksom Capitals, losing by 10 runs. Yuksom Capitals took the crease first and set a target of 128 for 8 in 20 overs. Black Eagle SAP managed to score only 118 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs and lost the match by 10 runs. Md Aadil Alam of Yuksom Capitals was declared the Player of the Match.
After playing three matches each in the league round, Alpine Sporting Club stood on the top with 6 points in Group A, leaving Yuksom Capitals on second position with 04 points, Black Eagles SAP finished in third position with 02 points and Avengers Cricket Club at the bottom with no points in this group.
In Group B, CAT finished on the top with 06 points after winning all three league matches and Royal North Brothers is on second position with 04 points. Likewise, Pakyong XI stood on the third position with 02 points and Irises Cricket Club at the bottom with no points.
The top two teams of each group have entered into the semi-final round of the tournament. Alpine SC will take on Royal North Brothers in the first semi-final on 13 February at 8:30 AM, which will be followed by the second semi-final match between CAT and Yuksom Capitals the same day at 12:30 pm.
