Bharatiya Janata Party has extended its sincere appreciation of Sikkim Police for its relentless efforts in tracking and apprehending Shamson Tamang from Bodhgaya, Bihar, last night. The accused has been evading arrest for close to fortnight, ever since he posted a video on Facebook making distasteful comments against the Khas community.
A press release issued by BJP-Sikkim media in-charge, Niren Bhandari, puts on record: “This successful operation reaffirms Sikkim Police’s dedication to justice and maintaining communal harmony in our state. The BJP Sikkim Pradesh acknowledges and commends their unwavering determination and coordinated efforts in swiftly bringing the accused to justice.”
The party has also thanked the Government of Sikkim, Bihar Police, and all law enforcement agencies involved in the operation.
