Dakshin Sikkim Sahitya Sammelan celebrated its 30th foundation day with state level awards and felicitations of literary figures from Sikkim, Darjeeling and other places of the Northeast.
Nepali Sahitya Samman’ was conferred on KB Nepali of Assam, Asha Mukhia Lama of Kurseong, Prakash Bhattarai of Soreng, Rikki Lhamu Lepcha of Dentam, Rahul Rai ‘Bogiko’ of Manipur, and Bikram Kishore Gautam from Sumbuk.
On the day, DSSS also felicitated Dhan ‘Nirdosh’ Subba and Simeon Sukita Rai for their contributions to Nepali literature.
This year’s Shiva Kumar Rai Smriti Purashkar was conferred on Chunilal Ghimirey, Kabi Agam Singh Tamang Prativa Purashkar 2025 was received by Adarsh Milan Pradhan, LD Rai ‘Mikkholay’ Prativa Purashkar went to Ashok Kumar Rai, and Bali Subba ‘Basanta’ Prativa Purashkar was conferred on Bibek Basnet.
