SUMMIT REPORT, 27 Dec Gangtok: Ex-servicemen, under the banner of Bhootpurva Sainik Sangathan, Assam Lingzey, celebrated the organisation’s 20th foundation day in Namcheybong constituency in grand manner on Thursday. Area MLA, Education Minister Raju Basnet, joined the ex-servicemen in the celebrations.
A press release informs that a highlight of the celebration was the foundation stone laying for a multi-purpose hall and restroom, which has been aimed to benefit residents of Assam Lingzey and contribute to the area’s growth.
The release added that the main objective of the ceremony was to promote unity among all ex-servicemen in Sikkim and to encourage and contribute positively to society and the younger generation.
