A fire safety drill demonstration was conducted at SRM University Sikkim’s Science Block on Thursday. The drill was organized under the supervision of Department of Sikkim Fire and Emergency Services personnel, led by Madhusudhan Adhikari, Sub Fire Officer, a press release informs.
The session commenced with a lecture covering key aspects of fire dynamics, classification of fires, preventive measures, and emergency response strategies. This was followed by a demonstration in which participants learned essential fire safety operations, including handling fire extinguishers and executing evacuation procedures.
The event saw active participation from security guards, teaching and administrative staff, and students.
