A team of officials from ICAR-Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur, Rajasthan, visited the College of Horticulture at Bermiok to inspect ongoing trials under All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Rapeseed-Mustard Voluntary Centre at the college campus.
A CoH press release details that the officials “meticulously inspected” the IVT Yellow sarson comprising of 12 entries, IVT Toria comprising of 10 entries, IVT Early Indian Mustard comprising of 18 entries and AVT Early Indian Mustard comprising of seven entries for the season 2024-25. The trials, it is informed, was sown on 25 October, 2024, 08 November, 18 November, and 15 November respectively.
The visiting officials were satisfied with the trials and remarked that the crop has huge potential in Sikkim.
