The Sikkim Postal Division put together ‘KanchenjungaPex-2025,’ a district-level philatelic exhibition here on 03 and 04 March.
An official press release informs that a special cover on ‘90 years of Sikkim Rocket Mail (1935-2025)’ was released on day-01, honoring Chogyal Tashi Namgyal and aerospace engineer Stephen Smith.
Collections from schools were exhibited alongside displays by prominent philatelists from North Bengal and Sikkim. Activities such as Letter Writing and Stamp Designing Competitions, a Philately Workshop, and a Magic Show engaged students.
On Day-02 today, a workshop and a quiz on philately were conducted and a special cover on ‘Blue Duke’, the State Butterfly of Sikkim, was released.
