Toppers from classes 9 and 11 of government schools are sponsored on exposure tours to Kolkata, Digha and places within Sikkim, by the State Government. The first group of the year was flagged off today. This scheme has been running for the past three years.
While the class IX toppers are on a 4-day Sikkim tour, the class XI students are on a 6-day tour of West Bengal.
The students were flagged off by Secretary, Education Department [Higher Education], Tashi Chopel Lepcha.
