SRM University Sikkim organized a felicitation ceremony for Neelam Rai and Pema Chuden Lepcha, alumni of the School of Public Health and Department of Botany, for their success in clearing the State Civil Service Examination of Sikkim.
Their dedication, perseverance, and success serve as an inspiration for fellow students and aspiring civil servants, an SRM press release states.
Ms Rai is currently serving as Under Secretary in the Department of Economic, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, while Ms Lepcha holds the position of Under Secretary in the Department of Personnel.
During the felicitation, Prof Toms K. Thomas, Head of the School of Public Health, and Dr S Bharati Devi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, commended the two for their academic excellence and extended their best wishes for their continued success in public service.
Ms Rai and Ms Lepcha, in their respective addresses, shared their experiences, challenges, and gratitude towards their alma mater and mentors.
Prof Ch Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SRM University Sikkim, expressed immense pride in their achievement, and remarked, “The success of our alumni is a testament to their hard work and our institution’s commitment to academic excellence and nation-building.
