SUMMIT REPORT, Gangtok 07 Mar:
A meeting to form the Gyalshing District Bhutia-Lepcha Executive Body was held at Kathok, Yuksam, today, chaired by the president and vice president of the State Level Bhutia-Lepcha Association of Sikkim, along with other community members, a press release informs.
The District Level Bhutia-Lepcha Executive Body was formed with the consent of everyone present, the release states, while adding that the association aims to establish district-level executive bodies in all districts of Sikkim to improve coordination among the BL communities in all aspects.
The executive body of Gyalshing District Bhutia-Lepcha Association comprises of Thupden Rinzing Bhutia (President), Dawa Tshering Lepcha (Vice President), Ledup Dorjee Bhutia (General Secretary), Sonam Wangda Bhutia (Secretary), Karzang Bhutia (Treasurer), Karma Gurmey Bhutia (Coordinator I), Lakpa Lepcha (Coordinator II)Smt. Pema Lepcha (Coordinator III), Sangey Chopel Bhutia (Publicity Secretary I), and Passang Thendup Bhutia (Publicity Secretary II).
