The constituency-level celebration of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha foundation day for Yuksam-Tashiding was held today at the Yuksam Helipad with Tourism Minister, the area MLA Tshering T Bhutia, as chief guest.
Also present for the celebration were former Deputy Speaker Sangay Lepcha, Gyalshing Zilla Adhakshya DS Limboo, SKM CLC president Nandu Gurung, SKM District Coordinator Basant Tamang, district-level executives, zilla and gram panchayats, local gentry, and a massive gathering of party karyakartas and supporters.
Addressing the gathering, the area MLA spoke on the importance of the day, recalling how the party was born under the leadership of Chief Minister PS Tamang in 2009 and expressed gratitude towards the people of Yuksam-Tashiding for their unwavering support over the years and enthusiastic participation in the celebrations today.
The Minister went on to detail projects approved for Yuksam-Tashiding by the Chief Minister, including the statue of Tara Devi at Silnon Monastery, the beautification of Khangchendzonga Waterfall, and infrastructure development projects such as road improvements.
